"Civil War" - Are We Proud to be American?
Is this film a warning to the United States? Olivia and Emily discuss how Civil War surprisingly wasn’t political and focused more on the murky ethics of photojournalism. They also discuss the impact of the visuals and sound design, the cycle of young replacing the old, and of course, the iconic Jesse Plemons.
Civil War was directed by Alex Garland, starring Kirsten Dunst, Cailee Spaeny, Wagner Moura, and Stephen McKinley Henderson, and was released in theaters on April 12, 2024.
